The boys are SO close to fully walking! Thing two will walk now for a good distance. He can start out in our playroom and walk all the way into the kitchen. If he is standing he will always try to walk to where he wants to go. He will go from sitting to standing and back to sitting pretty well and not just plop down. Give it another week maybe two and I think he will be walking full time.
Thing one still has a ways to go, but not for lack of trying! Oh man, he sees his brother and thinks he can just take off too, but gets pretty frustrated that his balance isn't quite there yet. He does the lean forward and try to walk really fast to you before I fall down walk. He hasn't started the sitting/standing back to standing thing yet, he just needs a little more practice, I think a couple more weeks for him, and he will be on his way with his brother.
I'm SO not looking forward to them walking. It's bad enough now trying to keep them out of everything! I think they are going to spend all their waking hours in the baby jail! It's the only way to keep them contained and out of trouble.
I am kidding..... well kind of.
i'm really enjoying the opening of doors too..
ReplyDeleteOh yeah - they can now reach the door handles and open the doors. We have the lever handles and not the regular knobs, and I'm kicking myself over putting those in the house instead of regular knobs. They are much easier to open for little boys - all you have to do is pull down on it just a little bit.
